British Heart Foundation – our charity of the year
Lloyds TSB staff voted in record numbers to make the British Heart Foundation (BHF) their chosen charity of the year, a relationship which will run until June 2010. Working together, we aim to raise £2 million over the two years of the relationship to fund at least 15 new BHF Heart Nurses in local communities, providing specialist care and support to improve the physical and emotional health of over 8,400 heart patients and their families.
About the British Heart Foundation
- The British Heart Foundation is the nation’s heart charity. BHF is dedicated to saving lives through pioneering research, patient care, campaigning for change and providing vital information to help people care for their own heart health.
- The scale of the challenge BHF are tackling is immense – heart disease is the single biggest killer in the UK.

Doing our bit to help
Lloyds TSB is determined to help BHF make a difference. Over the next 2 years our people will be undertaking all sorts of fundraising activities to raise £2 million. We will also be working alongside the BHF on campaigns to get its healthy heart message across to everyone.
