Our partnership with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games places Lloyds TSB at the heart of the most exciting world event to take place in the UK for many decades.
March 14th 2007 was a milestone in the history of Lloyds TSB. It’s symbolic that we were the first Official Partner. As a truly British company serving customers across the UK, we wanted to demonstrate our commitment to Britain, and our confidence that 2012 will be the best Games ever.
The new London 2012 brand, launched on 4th June 2007, captures the spirit of the Games perfectly. It is young, vibrant and innovative and really brings the values and the excitement of the Games to life. To find out more about the new London 2012 brand, visit www.london2012.com.
The impact of London 2012 is almost unimaginable. In July and August 2012 the eyes of the world will be upon us and Britain will be front page news around the world. Britain will be swept up in a wave of enthusiasm, pride and unity.
The Games are about much more than 16 days of competition. They’re about the five years we have to prepare our country, our people and our athletes, and the legacy we leave for our young people when the 2012 Games are over.
Our vision for our partnership with London 2012 is “to inspire and support young people, communities and businesses all over Britain on their journey to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond.”
The Games will leave a permanent impression on the psyche of Britain and initiate lasting change for young people and our communities, and Lloyds TSB will be at the heart of this.
We want to give all our customers – personal, business and corporate customers – the opportunity to be part of London 2012 and to be inspired by how we bring the values of London 2012 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games to life.
The Lloyds TSB Foundations have made grants totalling over £300 million to grass roots charities throughout the UK, and Lloyds TSB’s partnership with London 2012 will complement our existing community-based corporate social responsibility programme.
We will be updating this site with news, events and plans as they unfold so keep your eyes peeled.
