This optional cover could provide you with peace of mind if you cannot make your credit card repayments.

Take the hassle out of losing your cards. With Sentinel® Gold, if you lose your credit, debit or store cards or if they are stolen, you and other members of your household are protected from fraud and given assistance in emergency situations.

Quick emergency service
If the worst should happen, make one free call to Sentinel® Gold 24 hour emergency helpline, and they will:

  •  Contact all your card companies and cancel them for you,
  •  Arrange for replacements of your cards,
  •  Cover you against fraudulent use of your cards
    – up to £1,500 for the 24 hours before you report the loss and up to £75,000 thereafter.

Sentinel® Gold covers all your and other members of your household’s cards – not only your Lloyds TSB cards but also others issued by banks, building societies and stores provided you register your details and your members details. You can even benefit from Sentinel® Gold if you move home — they will give your new address to all your card companies automatically.

Annual fee
For an annual fee of £30 for one year, Sentinel® Gold will cover all your cards and those of other members of your household.

Emergency cash
If your cards are lost or stolen, Sentinel® Gold card protection can organise a cash advance up to £3000 (subject to your credit limit) for the replacement of lost tickets and travel documentation.  Sentinel® Gold can even advance up to £3,000 to pay your hotel bill - all interest-free so long as you repay the money within 28 days.

Protect your passport/key/luggage
There's no need to worry if you lose your passport or driving licence, as we keep a record of these numbers and help you organise your replacements in an emergency. We'll reimburse up to £100 for costs incurred obtaining temporary travel documentation should your passport be lost or stolen whilst abroad. Sentinel® Gold also provides you with an identity coded key and luggage tag to help reunite you with your property if it goes missing.

Covering the cost of inconvenience
If you become stranded away from home you can rely on Sentinel® Gold Card Protection to help you find assistance and pay for any communication costs up to a maximum of £100 per incident incurred whilst, for example reporting an incident or finding medical assistance.

If you are a UK resident and do not hold a Lloyds TSB Select, Gold, Platinum or Premier current account, simply call Sentinel® Gold on 0800 023 4318  with your Lloyds TSB credit card number (quote reference 13341).
