Quick emergency service
If the worst should happen, make one call to Sentinel® Gold 24 hour emergency helpline, and they will:
- Contact all your card companies and cancel them for you,
- Arrange for replacement cards,
- Cover you against fraudulent use of your cards – up to £5,000 for the 24 hours before you report the loss or theft and up to £100,000 thereafter.
Sentinel® Gold covers all your and other members of your household’s cards – not only your Lloyds TSB cards but also others issued by banks, building societies and stores provided you register your details and your household members’ details. You can even benefit from Sentinel® Gold if you move home — Sentinel® Gold will give your new address to all your card companies if requested.
CIFASCIFAS is
UK’s fraud protection service offering you additional protection against loss of personal identity. If you have lost a piece of personal identification with your credit cards, and are concerned that you may be at risk of identify fraud, at your request we can place a protective registration warning with
CIFAS, which will alert lenders to an increased risk of fraud and prompt them to take extra precautions before money is lent in your name.
Protective registration
Sentinel® Gold also provides you with a Protective Registration Service. If you have lost your cards and a piece of personal identification such as your passport or driving licence and feel you may be at risk of fraud, you can use the
CIFAS Protective Registration service to alert credit agencies.
CIFAS will place a flag on your credit file, prompting lenders to make additional identity checks before allowing any credit to be taken out in your name.
Annual fee
For an annual fee of £30 each year Sentinel® Gold will cover all your cards and those of other members of your household.
Emergency cash
If your cards are lost or stolen and you’re stranded away from the
UK, Sentinel® Gold can organise a cash advance up to £3000* (subject to your credit limit and location), up to £5000* for the replacement of lost travel tickets and up to £3000* to pay your hotel bill. Sentinel® Gold could even advance up to £750* transport costs to complete your journey if you’re stranded away from the
UK - all interest-free so long as you repay the money within 28 days.
Protect your passport/key/luggage
There's no need to worry if you lose your passport or driving licence, as we keep a record of these numbers and help you organise your replacements in an emergency. We could reimburse up to £200 for costs incurred obtaining temporary travel documentation should your passport be lost or stolen whilst abroad. Sentinel® Gold also provides you with an identity coded key and luggage tag to help reunite you with your property if it goes missing.
Covering the cost of inconvenience
If you become stranded away from home you can rely on Sentinel® Gold to help you find assistance and pay for any communication costs up to a maximum of £700 **per incident incurred whilst, for example reporting an incident or finding medical assistance.
Lock & Key
We could help you gain access to your property 24 hours a day. Plus we will arrange and pay to have your locks changed right away if there is a threat to your property caused by a covered loss. We can even cover the cost if the problem is simply a key broken off in the lock! Sentinel® Gold will pay up to £600 per claim including costs for a locksmith, car hire (if needed) and replacing locks and keys.
