AA Breakdown Cover  

  • Roadside Assistance – Assistance at the roadside if you are broken down more than a quarter of a mile from home. Tow to a local garage for you, your vehicle and up to seven passengers if the AA is unable to fix your vehicle at the roadside.
  • Accident Management (underwritten by Acromas Insurance Company Limited) – Assists in arranging the repair, recovery and claim processing for vehicles following an accident or vandalism where you are claiming under your motor insurance.

Mobile Phone Insurance

Your insurance, administered by Lifestyle Services Group Limited (LSG) and underwritten by London General Insurance Company Limited, covers one phone for sole Gold Account holders, while joint account holders can insure a phone for each of you.

  • Covers phones up to a maximum individual original retail cost or value of £2,000 including VAT.
  • Covers the cost of replacing the phone in the event of loss or theft or the cost of repairing (or replacing where the phone cannot be repaired).
  • Covers the cost of unauthorised calls made up to £1500, for contract phones, and up to £300 for pay-as-you-go phones.

Sentinel® Card Protection

Sentinel® Card Protection, provided by Affinion International Limited and underwritten by Allianz Insurance plc, provides cover against Personal Money lost or stolen abroad at the same time as the Cards, and for loss or theft of the handbag, wallet, purse or briefcase containing the Cards lost in an Incident.


This insurance only applies to residents of the UK and will be automatically cancelled if you move permanently outside of the UK.

  • Cancel and order replacement cards with just one call.
  • If your money is lost or stolen, you can claim up to £200 to replace your missing cash. We’ll also give you up to £200 to replace the missing handbag, wallet, purse and/or briefcase your cards were in.
  • If your cards go missing while you’re away from home and you find yourself with no way to make a payment, we can organise interest free cash advances for you. Cash advances are subject to status and repayable within one calendar month of receipt, (terms and conditions apply).

You don’t earn interest as standard with your Gold Account.  To earn higher rates of interest, add Vantage to your account for free.

Gold Account with Vantage

When you register for Vantage you can earn interest at no extra cost. You can earn up to 3.00% AER / 2.96% gross variable on balances up to £5,000.  All you have to do is:

  • stay in credit during the monthly billing period
  • pay in at least £1,000 – your salary, for example, each calendar month

Interest won’t be paid in any month that you don’t meet the conditions. Interest is not paid on balances over £5,000. You don’t earn interest as standard with your Gold Account. To earn higher rates of interest, add Vantage to your account for free.

Interest rates are variable. Customers are limited to a total of three Vantage accounts. Interest rates apply to your whole balance. For example, if you have £4,000 in your account you will receive an interest rate of 3.00% AER on your entire balance.

          Whether you want to move to Lloyds TSB or you already bank with us and want to open a new Classic Account, switching is easy. Our dedicated welcome team will do everything they can to help your switch run smoothly, including transferring all your Direct Debits and standing orders to your new account for you.

          We will:

          • contact your other bank for a list of your Direct Debits and standing orders
          • tell you when your transfer is due to complete
          • set up your standing orders and ask your service providers to start claiming your Direct Debits from your Lloyds TSB account after your transfer date
          • arrange an interest and fee-free Planned Overdraft for three months (subject to application and approval)**

          Switching takes up to 14 days to complete. To take advantage of our switching service apply as normal and select the ‘switching’ option when filling in your application form.

          Upgrading your account

          If you already have an account with Lloyds TSB and you’re registered for Internet Banking, you can apply to upgrade online - just log on to Internet Banking.

          You can register for Vantage with your Gold Account through Internet Banking in just a few clicks.

          Glossary

          Account balance

          The amount of money you have in your account at a particular time.

          Sometimes a balance given by a bank will include payments that have been made to your account, but are not yet available because they haven’t cleared. This means that the money has not been received by the bank and is not available to spend. The money that you can spend is sometimes called your available funds or available balance.

          Added Value Account

          An Added Value Account is a current account that offers a package of additional benefits for a monthly account fee. These accounts typically include travel insurance, AA Breakdown Cover, mobile phone insurance, and card protection policies.

          AER

          AER means Annual Equivalent Rate. It’s an easy way of comparing different interest rate offers. It illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded each year.

          NET

          Net rate is the rate of interest the account pays after lower rate tax has been deducted. If you are a non-taxpayer, you can reclaim the tax by completing an HMRC R85 form. As the rate of tax may vary, the net rate is given for illustration only and is rounded to two decimal places.
