To open an Under 19s account, you must be aged between 11 and 18. You can apply for an account at your local branch.

If you’re aged between 11 and 15

You must have a parent or guardian with you when you open your account and when you apply for additional services.

You’ll need two forms of ID, such as your passport or birth certificate, as well as proof of your parent’s identity and address.

If you’re over 16

You don’t need to be accompanied by a parent, but you need to bring in two forms of ID and proof of your address.
