If you’re new to Lloyds TSB fill in our simple online application form. It takes about 10 minutes  and you’ll need to have a few bits of information to hand.

Existing customers - You will need to ask for the higher interest rate. You will not receive this automatically. Offer applies to Classic Plus, Select Plus, Gold Plus, Platinum Plus and Premier Plus. Offer rate will change to our standard variable Plus interest rate after 12 months (currently 4.00% AER/3.93% Gross variable). The standard current account interest rate of 0.10% AER/Gross applies to balances over £2,500. Interest paid monthly. AER (Annual Equivalent Rate) – the rate if interest was paid and compounded once a year. Gross rate – the rate before we take off income tax. Rates correct at 9th June 2008. If you change the type of Plus account you have within the 12-month offer period you may receive the standard Plus interest rate. If this happens we’ll pay you the difference in interest between the standard Plus rate and the offer rate at the end of the 12-month period. Bonus offer ends 13th July 2008.
