Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the UK according to the Home Office October 2005. It involves your personal details being used by someone else to commit fraud, for example by obtaining goods, services or money without your consent or creating false bank accounts in your name.

Fortunately everybody’s credit history is recorded by the financial service industry. By carefully monitoring this information our Identity Theft Protection specialists can spot any attempt to use your details fraudulently and alert you to this danger.

Identity Theft Protection benefits at a glance:

  • regular credit reports on request which show your credit score as well as any credit searches that have been carried out under your name,
  • access to personal support and information if you are a victim of fraud,
  • up to £25,000 insurance cover (including £2,500 for loss of wages) to cover the cost of reinstating your credit status,

How do I register for Identity Theft Protection?

To register for Identity Theft Protection we’ll need your signed authority. When you open your account we’ll send you the forms to complete and return, and then when we have your application form we’ll send you your first credit report.
