Get more interest - at no cost

With Vantage you get up to 4.00% AER (3.93% Gross) for balances from £5000 up to £7000 paid monthly to supplement your income. All you need to do is, stay in credit during the month, and pay in at least £1,000, for example your salary, each month.
You’ll earn the standard interest rate for your account when you don’t meet the Vantage conditions and on any money in your account from £7,000 onwards.

Add Plus to the Premier Account

If you use an overdraft and don't keep much money in your current account, then add plus to your account and get 2.5% AER (2.46% Gross) on balances up to £2,500. As with Vantage, all you need to do is pay in £1,000 a month.

Getting Started

Thank you for opening a Premier Account with us. We look forward to helping you make the most of the outstanding range of benefits available to you. Your Premier Account automatically comes with:

  • Worldwide Travel Insurance - with Family or Winter sports cover. If you or anyone covered under the policy has any existing medical conditions, and you wish to apply for cover for these conditions, please either give us a call or notify us online.
    Making a claim could not be easier. All you need to do is telephone the dedicated claims team. If you would like claim for travel delay, make a claim online. If you are abroad and in need of assistance then please contact our 24 hour assistance helpline.
  • AA Breakdown Cover - including Roadside Assistance, Relay, Home Start and Stay Mobile.
  • Home Emergency Cover - fast professional help for household emergencies.
  • Switch your bank account to us – If you have an account with another bank, we can transfer all your Direct Debits and standing orders to your new Premier account. All you need to do is complete our simple online form.

ID Aware
You will also need to register for ID Aware by filling out the registration form you will receive with your Welcome Pack within 15 days of opening your Premier Account. Once we have confirmed your identity you will receive your first credit report within 5 days.

Account opening is subject to our assessment of your circumstances. You must be 18 or over and a UK resident to apply.

Interest paid monthly. AER (Annual Equivalent Rate) – the rate if interest was paid and compounded once a year. Gross rate is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law.
For each month that you meet the Vantage conditions, interest is calculated daily on the balance of your account at the relevant Vantage interest rate from the second working day of that month. The interest is paid into your account at the end of the first working day of the next month. Rates are correct as at 2 February 2009. Gross rate is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law.

Calls may be monitored and recorded in case we need to check we have carried out your instructions correctly and to help us improve our quality of service.
