Get interest - at no extra cost

With Vantage you can earn 1.50% AER/ 1.49% GROSS variable on balances from £1 to £1,000 and go up to 3.00% AER/ 2.96% GROSS variable on balances from £3,000 to £5,000.  Interest is paid monthly.  All you have to do is stay in credit during the monthly billing period, and pay in at least £1,000 – your salary, for example, each calendar month.

Interest won’t be paid in any month that you don’t meet the conditions. Interest is not paid on balances over £5,000.

Interest rates are variable. Customers are limited to a total of three Vantage Accounts.

Interest rates apply to your whole balance. For example, if you have £4,000 in your account you will receive an interest rate of 3.00% AER on your entire balance.

AA Breakdown Cover  

If you breakdown on the road, call the AA direct on 0800 316 0096.

Mobile Phone Insurance

Your insurance, administered by Lifestyle Services Group Limited (LSG) and underwritten by London General Insurance Company Limited, covers one phone for sole Silver Account holders, while joint account holders can insure a phone for each of you.

Registering for Mobile Phone Insurance is recommended as it will simplify the claims process. Call Silver Membership Services on 08456 031 839 or register online for Mobile Phone Insurance.

Sentinel® Card Protection  

Sentinel® Card Protection, provided by Affinion International Limited and underwritten by Allianz Insurance plc, provides cover against Personal Money lost or stolen abroad at the same time as the Cards, and for loss or theft of the handbag, wallet, purse or briefcase containing the Cards lost in an Incident.

This insurance only applies to residents of the UK and will be automatically cancelled if you move permanently outside of the UK.

For Silver Accounts opened from the 24th March 2012, Sentinel® Card Protection does not provide cover against the unauthorised and fraudulent use of cards.

But don’t worry, if you are the victim of card fraud you should be covered by the bank who issued your card. Your level of fraud cover may differ between card issuers. So if you’re in doubt, contact your card issuer directly. All of the other Sentinel® Card Protection benefits on the Silver Account will remain the same. For more information please refer to our full details and exclusions.

AER (Annual Equivalent Rate) - the rate if interest was paid and compounded once a year. Gross rate is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law.
For each month that you meet the Vantage conditions, interest is calculated daily on the balance of your account at the relevant Vantage interest rate from the second working day of that month. Interest paid monthly and is paid into your account at the end of the first working day of the next month. Rates are correct as at 2 February 2009.

Calls may be monitored and recorded in case we need to check we have carried out your instructions correctly and to help us improve our quality of service.
