How do I apply?
To apply for the India Banking Service you must be at least 18 years old and open both a:
- Lloyds TSB added value accounts, and
- ICICI Bank Non-Residential External (NRE) savings account which needs to maintain a quarterly average balance of at least Rs 10,000 (about £125). Exchange rate as at 17th September 2007.
You are eligible to open an ICICI Bank NRE account if you are from Indian heritage and live in the UK. The accounts with the Lloyds TSB and ICICI Bank must be in exactly the same names to access the benefits of the India Banking Service.
