India Banking Service

We work with ICICI Bank, India's second largest bank, to help you manage your money in the UK and India. All you need is a nominated and eligible Lloyds TSB current account and an ICICI Bank Non-Resident External (NRE) savings account. You can open both accounts at participating Lloyds TSB branches.

    • We won't charge you to make transfers. Please note that ICICI Bank will make a conversion charge (currently 25 Rupees).

    How do I apply?

    To apply for the India Banking Service you must be at least 18 years old and open both;
    • A Lloyds TSB Added Value Accounts
    • An ICICI Bank Non-Residential External (NRE) savings account which needs to maintain a quarterly average balance of at least Rs 10,000. To be eligible you need to be of Indian heritage.
    These accounts must be in exactly the same names to access the benefits of the India Banking Service.
