With a special introductory discount Home Emergency Cover costs £5.25 a month for the first year (equivalent to 18p a day). Usual cost £6.25.

Home is where the heart is, so it's important to make sure that your home is adequately covered in the event of an emergency. Home Emergency Cover can set your mind at rest when it comes to emergencies that:

  • render your home unsafe or unsecure,
  • damage or cause further damage to your home or contents,
  • create unreasonable risk to the health and safety of you or your family.

What does Home Emergency Cover include?

With Home Emergency Cover, your home will be covered for:

  • failure of or damage to your home's plumbing and drainage systems,
  • failure of or damage to external locks, doors and windows,
  • damage to the house roof caused by bad weather or fallen tree (excluding flat roofs),
  • complete failure of electricity supply,
  • complete breakdown of your home's hot water system, or complete or partial breakdown of the central heating system.

Home Emergency Cover is the perfect complement to Home Insurance as it's a policy designed to help you resolve certain home emergencies.

Home Emergency Cover is not a servicing or maintenance policy so it won't cover routine home services or domestic appliance breakdowns. Terms, conditions and exclusions apply.

Getting Home Emergency Cover is simple

What will I need?

  • If you are an existing Lloyds TSB Home Options customer all you need is your policy number.
  • If you are not an existing customer you can take out Home Emergency Cover at the same time as purchasing Lloyds TSB Home Options insurance as an 'additional extra' online or over the phone.

Make a claim

Should you be unfortunate enough to suffer a domestic emergency which endangers your home or creates an unreasonable risk to your health and safety, please make sure that you have read and understood our definition of an emergency before following these simple steps:

1. Telephone Lloyds TSB Home Emergency service within 24 hours of discovery on 0800 731 0094. Please note that for your protection telephone calls may be recorded,


2. Tell us your Lloyds TSB Home Emergency policy number,


3. Tell us what has happened. Using this information, we will then assess how to proceed and what form of assistance would be appropriate to deal with the emergency.

For you to claim successfully your claim must fall into both the following categories:

Emergency
A sudden or unforeseen situation which, if not dealt with immediately upon discovery would cause one of the following:

  • Render the home unsafe or insecure; or
  • Damage or cause further damage to the home or its contents; or
  • Create unreasonable risk to you or your family’s health and safety.

Perils covered

  • Failure of or damage to your home's plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Failure of or damage to external locks, doors and windows.
  • Damage to the house roof caused by bad weather or fallen trees(excluding flat roofs).
  • Complete failure of electricity supply.
  • Complete breakdown of your home's hot water system, or complete or partial breakdown of the central heating system.

Please remember to call Lloyds TSB Home Emergency Service first. Please do not go ahead and make your own arrangements as we cannot reimburse costs incurred without our prior agreement.
