Cheque book and paying-in book ordering by text

When you need to order a new cheque book or paying-in book, ordering by text is faster and easier than going to a branch or sending your request by post, plus it won’t cost you any more than your usual charge for sending a text message.

Follow the instructions below to send us your order and we’ll send you a message back to let you know we’ve received it.

Ordering a cheque book

1. Open a new text message in your phone.
2. Enter these details: CHQ (space) your 6 digit sort code (space) your 8 digit account number, so it looks like this: CHQ 123456 12345678
3. Send the message to 61119.

Ordering a paying-in book

1. Open a new text message in your phone.
2. Enter these details: PIB (space) your 6 digit sort code (space) your 8 digit account number, so it looks like this: PIB 123456 12345678
3. Send the message to 61119.

If we have any questions about your order we’ll send you a message asking you to resend the details.

You should receive your order within four working days. If you haven’t received anything from us within four working days please call us on 0845 3 000 000 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
