How do I register?

Text Alerts

Limit Alerts
We’ll send you a text when you’re getting near to or over your account limit so you can avoid any Unplanned Overdraft charges. If your account goes over its limit, you have until 3.30pm (UK time) that day to pay in enough money to cover all your payments or arrange a planned overdraft and you won’t incur a penny in unplanned overdraft fees.

High and Low Balance Alerts
You can set your own limits. High Balance Alerts will let you know when to move excess money into a savings account. Low Balance Alerts will help make sure you always have enough money in your account for the things you want to do.

Weekly Balance Alerts
Receive a weekly text with your balance and the last six transactions of the week, on a week day and time you choose.

Overseas Transaction Alerts
We’ll send you a text when your debit card is used abroad to get cash or to make a purchase (including payments on websites, by phone or mail order from companies overseas). We’ll tell you which country the transaction was made in and whether it was a withdrawal from a cash machine or a purchase (at a shop or restaurant for example). Then, if you believe someone else made the transaction without your knowledge, you can call us.

Credit Card Alerts
If you're registered for Text Alerts and also have a Lloyds TSB credit card, we'll send you a text to let you know that your credit card statement is on its way. We'll also text you to confirm that our payment has been applied to your account.

Under 16? If you are aged between 11-15 with an Under 19s Account you can apply for our Weekly Balance Alerts and Overseas Transaction Alerts. Just visit your nearest branch with a parent/guardian to register.

Text alerts are sent before 10am Monday - Friday excluding Bank Holidays.

Text Requests

Balance Requests
Get your balance and last 6 transactions by text 24/7.

To get this you need to register for Limit Alerts or High and Low Balance Alerts first. You also need to have a Lloyds TSB debit card and an up to date mobile number held with us. See below for details on how to register.

  • Text “BAL” followed by a space and the last four digits of the current account number you’ve registered to 62229.
  • Once you’re registered for any either Limit Alerts or High and Low Balance Alerts you can request your balance whenever you like 24/7.

You will need to wait 24 hours after registering for Balance Requests before making a request. There is no cost to receive the message but any you send will be charged at your standard network rate.

Order Requests
Order a replacement PIN, a cheque book or a paying-in book from your mobile.

Ordering replacement PINs, cheque books and paying-in books by text is faster and easier than going to a branch or sending your request by post, plus it won’t cost you any more than your usual charge for sending a text message. You don’t need to register for Text Alerts to place Order Requests. Follow the instructions below and we’ll send you a message back to let you know we’ve received it.

1. Send the message to 61119.

2. Enter these details:

To order a replacement PIN: PIN (space) your 15/16 digit card number, so it looks like this: PIN 5521570108000085.

To order a cheque book: CHQ (space) your 6 digit sort code (space) your 8 digit account number, so it looks like this: CHQ 123456 12345678.

To order a paying-in book: PIB (space) your 6 digit sort code (space) your 8 digit account number, so it looks like this: PIB 123456 12345678.

If we have any questions about your order we’ll send you a message asking you to resend the details.

You should receive your PIN to your home address within four working days. If you haven’t received anything from us within that time, please call us on 0845 3000 000 (for Credit Cards PIN orders call 0845 606 2172 or +44 1702 278 272 if overseas).

Please note that if you change your PIN on one of your Airmiles Duo cards, the change will not automatically apply to the other. You will need to change the second card in exactly the same way.
