Are you eligible?

The amount you can borrow will come down to what we think is a sensible amount to lend you and what you think you can afford. To help us make this decision, we take into account:

  • your income
  • your outgoings
  • your age
  • records of previous loans and credit
  • the property value

Remember, the most you could borrow is 90% of the property's value. Or if you want to increase you mortgage amount at the same time the most we'll lend, including an additional amount, is 80% of your home's value.

Existing customer

Additional borrowing

If you already have a mortgage with us you could get money for home improvements or a big purchase by applying to borrow more.

You can apply:

  • If it's been at least six months since you took out your mortgage
  • If your existing mortgage and the new amount you want to borrow adds up to no more than 80% of the value of your home
  • For borrowing on an interest-only basis , if your existing mortgage and the new amount you want to borrow adds up to no more than 75% of your home’s value
  • If the amount you'd like to borrow is more than £5,000
  • If you are an existing Lloyds TSB Scotland mortgage customer please call 0845 6024 237 for additional borrowing.

Buy-to-let

Extend your property portfolio

Whether you’re starting or expanding your property portfolio, we’re here to help you get the right deal with our range of buy-to-let mortgage rates.

You could apply for a buy-to-let mortgage if:

  • You’re at least 18 years old and you won’t be over 75 years old at the end of your mortgage term
  • This isn’t your first mortgage
  • The property is in good condition and not divided into separate units
  • You have no more than three buy-to-let mortgages or a total loan amount of no more than £2 million within the Retail Division of Lloyds Banking Group*
  • Your property is being used for rental purposes
  • You meet all of the standard criteria for a mortgage
