Free legal work
If you’re just switching the mortgage that’s already on your home from another lender, C&G will take care of the legal work free of charge if it’s a standard remortgage for between £50,000 and £999,999.
If you don't qualify for free legal work, we could still help you keep costs to a minimum with the low cost legal work offer we have available for remortgages.
You may have to pay any non-standard costs that could arise.
For example, where:
- a defective title or insolvency policy is required,
- your property is currently unregistered and a Land Registry fee is required.
This offer does not apply to complex cases which involve, for example:
- transfer of equity,
- buy-to-let,
- a guarantor.
It’s a good idea to check with us and see if any exclusions apply to you.
