Mortgage advice

Applying for your mortgage at a branch or by phone
If you make an appointment at a branch, or you’d like to arrange your mortgage over the phone and you call our mortgage experts, you’ll get the advice or non-advice level of service.

With the advice level of service, we will assess your needs, priorities and circumstances based upon the information you have provided and we will recommend a mortgage product, the term your mortgage should run for and the best way of repaying the loan.

With the non-advice level of service, you make your own choice about your mortgage. We may ask you some questions to help narrow down the selection of mortgage products you would like details on and help you decide the term of your mortgage should run for and how you will repay the loan.

Buy-to-Let Mortgages
If you are taking out a buy-to-let mortgage, because the property is not your main home, this type of mortgage is not regulated by the FSA. However, we apply the same principles of good lending practice to all mortgages and the aim will be to provide you with the same high standard of service that will be provided for all other C&G Mortgage customers.
