Our mortgage experts will discuss your needs and provide you with a Key Facts Illustration.  A Key Facts Illustration will present your specific mortgage information in an easy to understand format, allowing you to compare it with other mortgages.

They will let you know how much you are eligible to borrow and will provide you with a mortgage promise. A mortgage promise simply tells you if you could have a mortgage with us and how much you can borrow, subject to valuation of the property and the information you supply being correct.

If you’re booking an appointment with one of our mortgage experts, it’s useful to take the following with you:

  • Your last three months' payslips
  • Your last three months' bank statements if you want any other income to be considered e.g. rental or investments 
  • If you already have an existing mortgage elsewhere, your last year's mortgage statements
  • If you’re applying for an interest-only mortgage, any repayment vehicle details that you want to use (e.g. endowment policy, investments, ISAs)
  • If you’re self-employed, two years' self-assessments
  • If you’re within five years of your planned retirement age or aged 60 or over, your up-to-date forecasts for any state, company and/or personal pensions
  • And, if you’ve already got your heart set on a property, bring along the sales particulars
