Making a payment to another person is easy. Just add a new recipient every time you pay a person for the first time.
Once you’ve set up a recipient, select them from your existing recipients list and click on Make a payment.

The first time you pay a bill or a credit card, you’ll need to add the company you are paying as a new recipient and give us their billing details. If you don’t have them, use our search tool to find the company you want to pay.
If you want to pay the same company again, click the name, type in the amount to pay and specify when you’d like the payment to leave your account. You’re done in an instant.
The vast majority of payments from Lloyds TSB current accounts to Lloyds TSB credit cards will now arrive within two hours.

A Direct Debit is a method of payment where you give a company permission to withdraw money from your account and pay it into their account. Many companies offer a discount or special terms for customers who choose to pay in this way, making it an ideal method for paying utility bills such as electricity. Only companies can be paid using this method, not individuals.
A standing order is an instruction you give to your bank to pay a fixed amount to someone else or to one of your own eligible Lloyds TSB accounts on a regular basis, for a set amount of time. The payments are taken from your account on agreed dates, usually monthly.

All online payments are made through Faster Payments provided the payment amount is within the FPS limits. The money will reach the recipient's account usually within 2 hours but can sometimes take up to close of business the next working day from the date the payment is sent. The bank account that you are sending the money to will need to be able to accept Faster Payments
If you’re making a payment to your Lloyds TSB credit card, this will not be reflected on your online credit card statement until the next working day.

Transfers made between your own personal Lloyds TSB accounts are made instantly.
If you have made a payment using the wrong account details, or if you have made a payment using incorrect account information, please check if the payment has been returned to your account. It often is. If so, simply resend the payment with the correct details. If the money hasn't been returned however, you need to contact the recipient’s bank directly to arrange repayment.
