If your American Express Traveller's Cheques are lost or stolen, you’ll find the number of the local American Express office in the wallet that your traveller's cheques came in. Or you can call the American Express helpline on +44 1273 571 600 or 01273 693 555 if dialling from the UK.
You can get cash in an emergency by calling:
- your Lloyds TSB branch, Monday to Friday (closed Bank Holidays),
- +44 170 227 8270 outside branch hours.
Please note that obtaining emergency cash depends on the availability of funds in your account.
You'll need to:
- report all facts of the loss or theft to the police if American Express ask you to,
- inform American Express of the serial number of the lost or stolen Travellers Cheques and the place and date of their purchase,
- complete the refund forms provided by American Express and provide acceptable proof of your identity.
Give American Express all the information and help they ask for to make a complete investigation of the loss or theft. American Express reserves the right to investigate the loss or theft.
