The euro is now the legal currency in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
If you are travelling to any of these twelve countries, you will need to take euro currency or euro travellers cheques.
