Whether you want foreign banknotes or American Express® Travellers Cheques, we offer a quick, easy travel money ordering service with home delivery or collection from most branches. It’s easy to order if you’re registered for Internet Banking – and you’ll get our best exchange rates when you order online.

Why not order travel money from Lloyds TSB?

  • 0% commission* when you buy foreign currency banknotes and non-Sterling American Express® Travellers Cheques online (there’s also no commission charge when you buy Sterling Travellers Cheques over the phone, but in branch you’ll be charged 1.5% commission – minimum £3).
  • Get our best exchange rates at Lloyds TSB for euros and US dollars when you buy through Internet Banking.
  • Free next working day delivery** at over 1,900 of our branches if you order your currency in a branch, online or by phone by 3pm, Monday to Friday. You can collect your currency the next working day after 1pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Home delivery** for £4.50 (to cover the cost of registered post) when you order online or by phone.
  • No card handling fee as you simply buy the foreign currency from your Lloyds TSB account*.
  • Commission-free buy-back*** on any leftover foreign currency or Travellers Cheques when you order by phone or in a branch. Visit any branch for details.
  • Order a minimum of £100.
  • We can only deliver to the British mainland and Northern Ireland. Deliveries must be to the cardholder’s address.
  • Orders confirmed before 3pm Monday-Friday will be delivered by 1pm the next working day (Monday if ordered on Friday). These timescales may be different for Scotland and Northern Ireland. We may not be able to guarantee next working day delivery to some remote areas of the United Kingdom.
  • Orders confirmed after 3pm on a working day, or orders on a day that isn’t a working day (e.g. Saturday/Sunday and Bank Holidays) will be available on the second working day from the date of order. For example, if you order on a Saturday, the money will be available on Tuesday.
  • Orders for delivery to a Lloyds TSB branch can be collected after 1pm the next working day if confirmed before 3pm Monday-Friday.
  • Any orders that haven’t been collected (from your chosen branch) after 10 working days from the delivery date you chose will be cancelled and returned to the processing centre. You’ll receive a refund based on the buy-back exchange rate for that day. Cancelled and reduced orders will also be refunded at the buy-back exchange rate of that day. This means you will usually receive back less than you originally paid.
  • Orders are currently commission free.
  •  There is a £4.50 delivery charge for home deliveries* (to cover the cost of registered post). Delivery to a Lloyds TSB branch is free.
  • You can place multiple orders using your current account to pay for them, providing each one isn’t worth more than £3,000 Sterling. The total value of each order must be at least £100.
  • The online service is generally available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There may be periods when it isn’t available because of routine maintenance. There will be a message displayed on the screen when this happens.

    If you use your Lloyds TSB debit card to buy money from us you won’t be charged a cash handling fee. If you use your Lloyds TSB credit card there will be a 2.95% charge (on the transaction amount) unless you use the Travel Money Hotline, when there will be no charge. Other debit or credit card issuers may charge you when you use their card to purchase Travel Money from us. Calls may be monitored or recorded.

    * If you use a credit card and order online or over the phone, there will be a cash handling fee charged. There is a 1.5% card handling fee (min £4 and max £15) for MasterCard and Visa credit card transactions. Other debit or credit card issuers may charge you when you use their card to purchase Travel Money from us. Calls may be monitored or recorded.

    ** Different delivery timescales may apply to Scotland and Northern Ireland. We may not be able to guarantee next working day delivery to certain remote areas within the United Kingdom. Ask in a branch for further details. We can only deliver to the British mainland and Northern Ireland and it must be to the cardholder’s billing address.

    ***Customers who do not hold a Lloyds TSB current/savings/business account, credit card or loan will be charged 1.5% commission (minimum £3) on buy-backs of foreign currency travellers cheques. The price at which we buy-back your currency may differ from the price at which we sold it to you. There are minimum denominations we can accept in certain currencies. Details of these are available on request. We may not be able to re-purchase currency if a country becomes embargoed or we no longer deal with that currency. When exchanging Travellers Cheques, commission charges may apply and can vary by exchange location. Each institution independently sets its own exchange policies and fees, the information may change at any time.
