Taking travellers cheques abroad?
Where euro and US dollars are the local currency, taking euro travellers cheques to Europe or US dollar travellers cheques to the US will provide the best experience. This is because euro travellers cheques can often be used in the same way as cash, which means you don’t need to worry about working out exchange rates when on holiday. In the US, US dollar travellers cheques are widely accepted at local shops, hotels and restaurants without having to exchange them first. Fee free partners will exchange euro travellers cheques at face value and without charge+.
